NEW MEMBERS / AREA COMMITTEE




PRESENTATION

This committee has two main goals:

1.- To increase the number of members.

2.- To look for new fields/areas.

        

 Chair of the New Members / Area  Committee:

In the new fields/areas the goals of ETCO should be brought into shape, and the ideas & concepts of other committees should be brought into realization, such as developing a model for promotion of donation and transplantation in Eastern European countries with the NKM Committee, developing guidelines for educational programs, and so on.

In the meantime this committee worked on the following items:

1. International Day for Organ Donation

Letters of notification about an International Day for Organ Donation have been sent to all NKMs and to all ETCO Board members. We are waiting for the responses.

2. New Areas


We are working with Diane Moretti, Chair of the NKM Committee, regarding the specific needs of Organ Donation in different countries. Further to the responses we received from the NKMs, we are now in contact with the Chair of the Educational Committee to discuss a kind of tailor-made program for each country.

3. New Members

Several Organ Donation & Transplantation organizations will be informed about the possibility of obtain the ETCO certification.
